Sugar Free Rice and Shine

When we were children sweets, biscuits and sticky cakes are a treat and so many of us develop a love of sugary things that can rot our teeth and ruin our health. People who are overweight and do not have other problems or a tendency to be a bit on the heavy side, are usually overweight because they consume too much sugar and too many sugary foods. The thing with sugar is that childhood memories make it a comfort food and at the same time we get a 'high' or an energy boost each time we have sugar. This leads us to wanting more and more until we crave sugar and will over indulge in it at every opportunity.

Children who are allowed too many sugary drinks and too many sweets not only develop spotty skins they can also be hyper active. Hyperactivity can get them into trouble in school and out on the streets, one way of preventing your child becoming hyperactive on a regular basis is to reduce their daily sugar intake. Don't just stop it cold, when we don't get the sugar that we crave we can feel quite ill with headaches and dizzy spells - this is just the body reacting to the fact that its cravings are not being fed.

The best thing to do is to modify yours or your child's consumption of sugar over time. While our body does need some sugar we do get a good deal of that from our everyday diet; it is just that when we develop a very sweet tooth at an early age, we fail to taste the natural sweetness of many foods. When you are reducing your sugar intake it is much easier to do if you eat a healthy and regular diet, three meals a day or five smaller meals will help to keep your blood sugar at a healthy level - this way you won't be craving sugar quite so often. When you do start to cut back on sugar and sugary foods you could always replace them with a natural supplement such as Rice and Shine.
